Alliant Ed Foundation Launches Brand New Website
Debuting just last week, we’ve reimagined the Foundation’s website and are proud to share it with you today at www.AlliantEd.org!
The new design, content, and layout better represent who we are and what we do, so we hope you’ll take a few minutes to visit and let us know what you think.
2025 Regional Children's Mental Health Consortium
There are four important updates on this core program funded by the Alliant Ed Foundation:
- First, check out the brand new infographic outlining all the key demographics and statistics about the San Diego-based program through June 2025.
- Second, three new agency partnerships: Interfaith Community Services, Somali Family Service of San Diego, Jewish Family & Community Services – East Bay.
- Third, this year’s program will include the largest cohort of CSPP clinical psychology students in our program’s history.
- Lastly, special thanks to San Diego Foundation’s Healthy Children & Families Initiative for their generous grant.
Join Alliant's New Giving Circle for the Alliant Pathways Scholarship Fund
Just launched at the APA’s annual conference in Denver, the new Alliant Giving Circle offers an easy way for newer alums to give back. By multiplying smaller gifts, we’re helping newer graduates seed the brand new Alliant Pathways Scholarship Fund for CSPP students.
Low-Cost Psychotherapy Site Launching for CSPP Students
In partnership with the California Psychological Association Foundation, AEF is co-funding a new matching website where CSPP graduate students can link up with low-cost or sliding scale clinical psychologists. This resource reduces financial barriers for students required to complete psychotherapy hours.

50th Anniversary of Connell Persico's Leadership
September 25th marked the 50th anniversary of Connell Persico’s career with CSPP-LA. Between his tenure there and nearly nine years with the Alliant Educational Foundation, we honor his generous leadership.
A public tribute will take place on Saturday, January 24, 2026, in LA—let us know if you’d like to attend!
New Scholarships for Alliant Students
Each summer, we review hundreds of student applications for scholarships. This round of funding is made possible by more than 50 donor-restricted funds, granting over $80,000 this year. In addition, $625,000 was approved for Alliant International University’s annual scholarship process.
Growth of the Alliant Ed Foundation "Fellows" Program
This fall marks the launch of the third cohort of AEF Fellows, supporting 19 new PhD and PsyD students across California. These students often share a commitment to social justice, high GPAs, and financial need, with many being first-generation college or graduate students.
At scale, this program will support 80–100 such students with scholarships, mentorship, and more.
The Next Round of Innovation / Seed Grants
After four successful rounds, the Foundation is launching a re-tooled fifth year of innovation/seed grants for Alliant faculty and staff. This redesigned program emphasizes addressing pressing needs of our time.
RFPs open in October, and we expect to fund five or more grants totaling $50,000 across Alliant campuses.
Recent Site Visits
To better understand community needs, AEF staff and volunteers completed site visits in the Bay Area and Phoenix. Meetings with youth-serving agencies, CSPP leadership, and Alliant’s School of Nursing helped strengthen programs like the Regional Children’s Mental Health Consortium.
Year-End Giving Season
It’s hard to believe, but October marks the start of the fourth quarter of 2025. Across the U.S., many non-profits receive their largest share of support during this time.
While “Giving Tuesday” kickstarts year-end giving, donations can be made anytime—whether one-time or monthly, large or small. Please consider supporting our mission.
